AVP – Actuarial Analysis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the senior actuarial authority, providing analytical guidance across various business units.

• Develop and oversee actuarial models for medical expense analysis, trend forecasting, and risk classification.

• Perform IBNR reserve evaluations and claims development assessments.

• Create and uphold predictive models for healthcare usage and population health risks.

• Evaluate performance against value-based contracts and establish cost/utilization benchmarks for payer negotiations.

• Build, manage, and mentor a high-achieving actuarial team; implement best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS);

• Over 10 years of actuarial experience, with a minimum of 5 years in the healthcare sector.

• Extensive knowledge in medical cost analysis, reserve development, and analytics for value-based payment models.

• Demonstrated experience in a multi-entity or multi-product setting, with familiarity in Medicare Advantage and/or Medicaid.

• Strong expertise in actuarial modeling software (SAS, R, Python) and advanced Excel capabilities.

• Exceptional communication skills at the executive level; capable of distilling complex analytical results for non-technical audiences.
