This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Evaluate claims related to automotive, RV/other unit types, and/or powersports submitted via the web portal and other work queues.
• Confirm the legitimacy and precision of claim submissions.
• Provide follow-up information and instructions for new claims via the web.
• Assess incoming claims and request further information, images, or inspections as necessary.
• Ensure that authorized claims obtain the necessary approvals prior to authorization.
• Manage claims in accordance with agreement terms and state regulations.
• Deliver authorization within 30 minutes if no additional information is needed.
• Keep track of claim-handling and communication metrics.
• Assist the Mechanical Claims Lead and Supervisor with various assignments.
• Uphold key performance indicators, including claims audits, contact center compliance, new claim processing, attendance, one-on-ones, and coaching plans.
• Collaborate with other teams and participate in cross-training across departments.
• Contribute ideas to enhance organizational productivity.
• Provide outstanding customer service while performing administrative tasks.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of 3 years in customer service or administrative roles.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Capable of planning, organizing, prioritizing, and completing assignments in a timely manner.
• Detail-oriented, accurate, and exceptionally organized.
• Possess active listening skills and the ability to engage with various personalities.
• Strong written communication abilities.
• Creative and effective problem-solving skills for customer issues.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
• Good judgment and tact when applying policies and resolving issues.
• Familiarity with computer hardware and software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Typing/Alphanumeric speed of over 40 wpm and strong 10-key skills.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively while handling interruptions.
• Flexibility to work varied hours.
• Capacity to lift at least 20 pounds.
• Preferred: experience in contact center claims or automotive service.
• Background in automotive mechanical claims, service writing, or operations within repair facilities.
• Understanding of automotive systems, repair processes, and industry labor guides like Mitchell and AllData.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally walk, stand, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Capable of hearing and speaking effectively, both in person and over the phone.
• Proficient in using multiple computer monitors and applications.
• Manual dexterity for keyboard usage, calculator, and typical office equipment.
• Ability to work extended hours at a computer while utilizing close vision, distant vision, depth perception, and adjusting focus.
