Automation QA Engineer – Web, Admin

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Create, maintain, and enhance automated test suites (UI, API, E2E) utilizing Playwright and TypeScript.

• Ensure and enhance regression coverage for both existing and newly introduced features.

• Uphold the stability of the test automation framework, including refactoring and improving the reliability of tests.

• Investigate test failures, identify root causes across UI, API, data, and environment layers, and assist in debugging alongside developers.

• Engage in feature analysis and planning, contributing to decisions on what should be automated and at which level (UI vs API vs integration).

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 1 year of experience as an Automation QA Engineer focused on web applications.

• Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Practical experience with Playwright and a solid grasp of UI test automation best practices.

• Experience in designing and maintaining test automation architecture employing Page Object Model patterns and reusable test utilities.

• Hands-on experience in writing and maintaining API and E2E automated tests.

• Strong comprehension of REST API principles, including HTTP methods, status codes, headers, authentication, and request/response validation.

• Knowledge of SQL and experience with database validation in testing scenarios.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution within the delivery workflow.

• Thorough understanding of the software testing lifecycle, test design techniques, and experience with test documentation.

• Knowledge of core programming principles: OOP, SOLID, and clean code practices.

• Proficient in Git and knowledgeable about Git Flow/branching strategies.

• Ability to analyze requirements, identify gaps in test coverage, and select the appropriate level of automation for a feature.

• Intermediate English proficiency or higher.
