This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka.
• Design, develop, test, and implement automation workflows (e.g., Rewst, Kaseya)
• Identify opportunities for automation by analyzing service desk and operational processes
• Monitor and maintain automation systems to ensure optimal performance and ongoing improvements
• Collaborate with service desk, operations, and leadership to prioritize projects
• Minimize manual workloads by implementing scalable and efficient solutions
• Develop and maintain clear documentation (process maps, workflows, knowledge base articles)
• Troubleshoot automation challenges and provide L2/L3 technical support
• Enhance onboarding and offboarding processes through automation
• Align automation initiatives with business objectives and service delivery goals
• Offer recommendations to enhance after-hours support and decrease overtime
• Achieve outcomes independently while ensuring robust stakeholder communication
• Collaborate with internal and offshore/MSP teams to guarantee seamless service delivery
• Contribute to the development of reusable frameworks and best practices in automation
• 4+ years of experience as an Automation Engineer, Systems Engineer, or a comparable senior technical position
• Extensive experience in designing, building, and executing workflow and process automation solutions
• Experience in IT services, managed services, or technical operations environments
• Proven track record of enhancing service desk efficiency and operational workflows through automation
• Ability to assess business processes and identify automation opportunities that provide measurable benefits
• Practical experience with automation and orchestration platforms such as Rewst, Kaseya, or similar technologies
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments
• Experience with IT service management and service desk platforms
• Solid foundational knowledge in networking and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with onboarding and offboarding automation processes is highly preferred
• Familiarity with MSP toolsets, service delivery platforms, and operational systems is a plus
• Strong skills in documentation and process design
• Ability to create process maps, workflow documentation, and knowledge base articles
• Experience in developing reusable automation frameworks and operational best practices
• Strong emphasis on quality, scalability, and continuous improvement
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong abilities in stakeholder engagement and relationship building
• Analytical and detail-oriented problem solver
• Capable of working independently while effectively collaborating across teams
