This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +2 more states.
• Address inquiries from dealers, resolve conflicts, coordinate loan specifics, and assist in loan-related decisions.
• Assess and prioritize dealer exceptions and appeals, resolving them within the designated authority or escalating as needed.
• Collaborate with loan processors, lending leaders, underwriters, dealers, and members to address issues and facilitate the completion of loan applications.
• Utilize experience, discretion, and sound judgment to decide on appropriate courses of action.
• Keep detailed written records of exceptions, appeals, actions taken, and their outcomes.
• Oversee application queues and identify denied applications that may require a second underwriting review.
• Follow up on unfunded loans and resolve outstanding issues with dealer sales personnel and internal partners.
• Manage competing priorities and execute high-priority tasks accurately and efficiently while achieving production and quality objectives.
• Communicate professionally with dealers, members, vendors, and OCCU team members through both written and verbal channels.
• A minimum of two years of experience in consumer lending, loan processing, or a related field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the indirect or consumer lending process, encompassing loan applications, lending decisions, conditions, exceptions, and funding workflows.
• Capable of investigating issues, gathering pertinent information, evaluating options and risks, and making timely, well-supported decisions.
• Experience in resolving disputes, escalations, or complex service challenges while maintaining productive business relationships.
• Ability to discern when issues can be handled independently and when escalation is necessary.
• Outstanding dealer, member, or customer service skills with professional communication abilities in high-pressure situations.
• Strong conflict resolution capabilities.
• Ability to maintain focus and professionalism amidst time constraints, disagreements, ambiguity, or competing demands.
• Sound judgment and discretion in independently solving problems.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Accurate documentation and data entry abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and business or credit union systems.
• Capability to work independently while collaborating with team members and cross-functional partners.
• Continued residence in Oregon, Washington, or Idaho is mandatory.
• Availability to work a schedule that includes at least one weekend day.
• Spanish-speaking candidates who successfully complete OCCU's standardized language proficiency test will receive an additional $2.00 per hour.
