This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.
• Conduct audits of freight bills and carrier invoices to ensure accuracy in accordance with contracts, routing guides, and shipment execution data.
• Verify rating structures (tariffs, discounts, accessorials, fuel surcharges) and confirm compliance with billing requirements.
• Detect discrepancies or potential cost leaks and escalate issues to the Process Improvement Supervisor for resolution.
• Assist in margin protection by ensuring precise buy versus sell alignment for all shipments.
• Maintain documentation and audit trails in alignment with financial controls and client specifications.
• Uphold internal controls to guarantee regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, specific client audit requirements).
• Collaborate with the Process Improvement Supervisor to pinpoint recurring billing errors and aid in developing corrective action plans.
• Ensure that SOPs, work instructions, and business rules are adhered to consistently during daily auditing tasks.
• Work alongside LTL and TL Operations teams to verify shipment data and address rating discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Carrier Procurement and Client Success teams to harmonize contract terms and billing expectations.
• Offer feedback to the Process Improvement team regarding systemic gaps or automation opportunities.
• Engage in cross-functional workstreams aimed at minimizing cost leakage and enhancing billing accuracy.
• Compile audit reports and summarize findings for review with the Process Improvement Supervisor.
• Assist in tracking KPIs related to audit accuracy, recovery of overcharges, and issue resolution timelines.
• Support process improvement initiatives that include system enhancements, automation tools, and reporting dashboards.
• Contribute to special projects such as client audits, system migrations, or carrier contract realignments.
• An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Supply Chain is preferred; equivalent work experience is also accepted.
• 1–3 years of experience in logistics, auditing, billing, or financial operations.
• Solid understanding of freight rating, contracts, and typical accessorial charges (LTL experience is preferred).
