This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.
• Facilitate the onboarding process for new audit clients, ensuring a seamless transition and clear establishment of audit workflows and documentation.
• Engage in daily audit tasks, including risk assessment, planning, fieldwork, preparation of workpapers, and the completion of audit programs.
• Utilize company software to perform audit, reporting, and compliance-related tasks with precision and efficiency.
• Develop audit schedules, management letters, reconciliations, and other audit documentation in accordance with professional standards.
• Execute substantive testing and analytical procedures to evaluate the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
• Examine financial data to uncover trends, anomalies, and risk areas that may require additional audit focus.
• Investigate complex auditing, accounting, and regulatory issues to deliver practical solutions and ensure adherence to applicable standards.
• Assist with compliance requirements at both U.S. federal and state levels related to client audit engagements, including year-end reporting and filing support.
• During off-peak seasons, support related teams with bookkeeping, tax returns, financial reporting, and other accounting functions as necessary.
• Contribute to special projects and the preparation of financial reports as needed.
• Possess a bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as accounting, finance, economics, business, etc.
• Hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in auditing, accounting, and/or tax.
• Turkish CPA (SMMM) or Turkish Sworn-in CPA (YMM) License will be viewed as a significant advantage.
• Experience in public accounting or external auditing is a considerable plus.
• Knowledge of USGAAP and/or IFRS is a notable advantage.
• Have extensive proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with Audit or Accounting Software Systems is preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Business English - all interviews will be conducted in English!
• Ability to perform sophisticated and innovative analysis of complex financial data and identify risk areas.
