AU Tax Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the preparation and submission of Individual, Company, and Trust Income Tax Returns.

• Prepare and assist with Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns during the peak period from March to June.

• Ensure compliance with corporate tax regulations and prepare supporting documentation.

• Create tax reconciliations and maintain compliance records.

• Utilize internal tax systems, including CTS and Excel-based working paper tools.

• Collaborate with onshore partners and members of the tax team.

• Provide assistance on general Australian tax compliance issues.

• Guarantee that all deadlines are achieved within the allotted budgeted hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Australian Tax.

• Strong background in AU Income Tax compliance.

• Familiarity with Corporate Tax regulations.

• Experience in FBT (Employment Taxes) is highly desirable; training can be provided.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• CPA or CA (either completed or in progress) is preferred but not mandatory.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.

• Experience with Australian tax software; familiarity with CTS is a plus.
