This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• The Accountant will assist in managing the finance operations for both Australian and international entities, ensuring the precision of financial records across several organizations and facilitating an efficient month-end closing process.
• Conduct timely and precise balance sheet reconciliations, probing into and rectifying discrepancies as needed.
• Guarantee that reconciliations are completed in accordance with month-end timelines, internal controls, and financial procedures.
• Aid in month-end closing tasks, which include the preparation and posting of accruals.
• Accurately process prepayments and amortization journals in a timely fashion.
• Help prepare monthly management reports for various countries and entities.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by preparing data, conducting analysis, and assisting with reporting.
• Offer financial data and insights to assist in planning, decision-making, and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with the Financial Controller to assess performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Work alongside the Australia-based finance team to facilitate daily accounting operations.
• Contribute to improvements and efficiencies within finance processes across the function.
• Perform other duties associated with the position as they arise.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• At least 3+ years of experience in an accounting or finance position, ideally supporting Australian or international entities.
• Strong background in balance sheet reconciliations, month-end accounting procedures, and maintenance of financial records.
• Experience in preparing accruals, prepayments, amortization journals, and other relevant month-end closing activities.
• Familiarity with multi-entity or multi-country reporting environments is highly valued.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general finance processes.
• Proficiency in NetSuite is preferred.
• Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including strong capabilities in data handling, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Meticulous attention to detail and robust problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent time management abilities, capable of meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to collaborate across teams and regions.
• Proactive, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a larger finance team.
