This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Act as the content leader for areas focused on accreditation and chain of custody assurance.
• Oversee the revision and calibration of documents within designated focus areas.
• Manage responses to inquiries from stakeholders within assigned focus areas.
• Assist the Supply Chains and Claims & Labeling teams when Assurance input is needed.
• Engage with assurance providers through email, online communities, and virtual meetings.
• Investigate and document issues related to Textile Exchange standards and assurance policies.
• Respond to technical inquiries regarding Textile Exchange standards and assurance policies.
• Administer and track information requests from assurance providers.
• Maintain and disseminate supporting documents related to standards and assurance policies.
• Facilitate assurance-provider engagement initiatives and ensure compliance with certification systems.
• Provide administrative assistance for assurance processes associated with certification bodies.
• Enhance and manage assurance systems, including databases, document management, and case management.
• Offer guidance to stakeholders and support the Standards System Department.
• Assist with language interpretation or translation as needed and as skills permit.
• Represent Textile Exchange at various events and meetings.
• Coordinate meetings and webinars with the assurance-provider community.
• Two to four years of experience in certification, standards, or sustainability schemes.
• Familiarity with accreditation systems, such as ISO 17065 and/or ISO 17011.
• Understanding of chain of custody certification and auditing processes.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Ability to synthesize and clearly present complex information.
• Capacity to communicate and collaborate effectively in English with non-native speakers.
• Detail-oriented, logical, systematic, methodical, and exceptionally organized.
• Proven interest in the vision, mission, and goals of Textile Exchange.
• Ability to thrive in a flexible, fast-paced remote environment, meet deadlines, and regularly update on progress.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable to changing directions.
• Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and capable of working effectively from home.
• Strong team-oriented mindset.
• Able to work remotely/from home 100% of the time.
• Willingness to accommodate flexible working hours with minimal daily schedule overlap.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Flexible in communicating across multiple time zones outside standard working hours.
• Able to travel internationally on occasion.
• Preferred: knowledge of additional languages, particularly Mandarin.
• Preferred: native-level proficiency in English, especially for technical writing.
• Preferred: one to two years of experience with a certification body.
• Preferred: knowledge of recycling, animal fiber farming, or organic cotton standards.
• Preferred: college or university degree (B.A., B.S., or equivalent).
• Preferred: experience with Textile Exchange, ISEAL, or ISO 17065-based standards.
• 100% remote work from home.
