Associate Tax Programmer Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Acquire a thorough understanding of the tax forms, requirements, and calculation logic relevant to assigned jurisdictions.

• Commit to continuous learning and adaptation in response to changing tax laws and technologies.

• Engage effectively and proactively with team members across various functions.

• Analyze requirements provided by researchers and apply modifications to tax return calculations.

• Conduct unit testing on updates to ensure precision and minimize rework.

• Support the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of process documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• CPA or a master’s degree is advantageous.

• 0 to 3 years of experience in industry or public accounting, focusing on Corporate and/or Pass-through income tax compliance or programming experience.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Practical experience or familiarity with technologies such as Microsoft Excel, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git, COBOL, or C# is considered beneficial but not mandatory.
