Associate Solicitor – Corporate Law

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Deliver clear, commercially oriented legal counsel and support to SME and business clients on a wide array of corporate issues, including:

• - Corporate restructurings (e.g. share for share exchanges, demergers)

• - Company and business sales and acquisitions

• - Investments and share issuances

• - Corporate governance

• Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate various corporate documents, such as shareholders’ agreements, articles of association, loan agreements, and share purchase agreements.

• Establish robust, trustworthy relationships with clients, taking the time to comprehend their commercial goals and providing pragmatic, customized legal solutions.

• Engage actively in business development activities, which include:

• - Assisting with pitches and proposals

• - Identifying prospects to enhance existing client relationships

• - Participating in networking events and contributing to profile-raising efforts

• - Developing your own emerging client relationships over time.

• Collaborate with accountancy partners within the Sumer group to deliver high-quality and cohesive client services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with approximately 2–4 years of PQE in corporate law.

• Strong experience in advising on a variety of corporate transactions, particularly for SMEs, founders, and owner-managed businesses.

• A commercial perspective with the capability to offer practical, solution-oriented advice.

• Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities across diverse corporate documents.

• Good organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple matters and deadlines efficiently.

• An interest in and aptitude for business development, including a willingness to engage in networking, client relationship building, and contributing to growth initiatives.

• A collaborative mindset, with the confidence to work closely with colleagues across legal and accountancy teams to ensure a seamless experience.
