Associate Software Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assist in validation and quality assurance tasks for eCOA software products, adhering to established SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards.

• Engage in software testing activities, such as test reviews, test execution, and test witnessing within an Agile development setting.

• Analyze product requirements, functional specifications, test plans, and related documentation to ensure thorough test coverage.

• Aid in planning testing efforts and determining testing scope based on project requirements and release timelines.

• Execute both manual and automated test cases, document outcomes, and maintain testing evidence in line with quality protocols.

• Collaborate with software engineers, quality assurance team members, database administrators, and system administrators to troubleshoot and resolve testing issues.

• Assist in the identification, documentation, tracking, and verification of defects throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Help troubleshoot test failures across various testing environments.

• Contribute to the creation and upkeep of test documentation and validation deliverables.

• Ensure timely completion of necessary training, documentation, and compliance activities.

• Engage in process improvement initiatives to boost testing quality, efficiency, and consistency.

• Foster cross-functional collaboration and contribute to a positive team environment oriented towards quality and continuous improvement.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 0 to 2 years of experience in software quality assurance, software testing, validation, or a related technical discipline.

• Familiarity with software testing methodologies, testing processes, and concepts of the software development lifecycle.

• Experience or exposure to manual and automated testing tools and techniques.

• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies is preferred.

• Exposure to regulated industries such as healthcare, life sciences, medical devices, clinical research, or pharmaceutical technology is advantageous.

• Knowledge of cloud technologies, Amazon Web Services (AWS), automation, or DevOps practices is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to investigate issues and propose solutions.

• Ability to rapidly adapt to shifting priorities and evolving project requirements.

• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.

• Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.

• Capability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams while also managing assigned responsibilities autonomously.
