Associate Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Contribute code to enhance the scalability and reliability of our services.

• Write software tests and engage in peer reviews to elevate the quality of our codebase.

• Assist in developing colleagues' skills through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and collaboration.

• Be part of a regular on-call schedule, which includes occasional paid weekends and holidays.

• Implement sustainable incident response practices and conduct blameless postmortems.

• Address customer issues escalated from the Red Hat Global Support team.

• Collaborate within a small agile team to develop and improve Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) software, support colleagues, and engage in planning and self-improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Proficient knowledge in building cloud resource providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience in software engineering using Golang or Python.

• Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes on Linux.

• Knowledge of microservices development and architecture.

• Experience with distributed source control systems, including git or GitLab.
