This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Associate serves as a developing mid-level consultant tasked with managing discipline-specific deliverables, collaborating with clients and design partners, overseeing and delivering smaller projects, and aiding in the execution of larger projects under the guidance of a senior engineer.
• Transition from a focus mainly on production to exercising judgment, managing defined scopes, and ensuring your work adheres to TEECOM’s standards and documentation practices.
• Collaborate with your Mentor, senior engineers, and Project Leads to create precise, coordinated designs while fostering independence through effective documentation habits and consistent follow-through.
• Design systems, prepare drawings, specifications, and calculations, and produce coordinated deliverables—either independently or in collaboration with the production team.
• Start building client relationships—establishing trust through clear communication, dependable follow-through, and careful coordination.
• Engage in project meetings, programming sessions, coordination discussions, and construction support, assisting in maintaining alignment with clients, contractors, manufacturers, and design partners.
• Provide discipline scope input for pursuits, prepare initial fee assumptions, and assist in proposal coordination.
• Enhance team practices by refining documentation, developing tools, and sharing insights learned, while advancing through training journeys and structured mentorship.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred), Architecture, or a related field; or equivalent technical or field experience.
• Experience: 5+ years in the AEC industry with strong expertise in Revit, coordinated modeling, and construction documentation across various projects, including involvement in coordination processes or field-related activities.
• Preferred: Experience in delivering technology system designs (ICT, Security, Physical Security, Electronic Security disciplines) and supporting engineering tasks such as calculations, device layouts, and specification development.
• Demonstrated experience leading BIM coordination efforts, including clash detection, model review, and resolution across disciplines.
• Ability to maintain model integrity at a senior production level, including workset management, view template application, warning resolution, and model cleanup.
• Capability to manage and maintain coordinated models, generate accurate drawings with minimal oversight, and independently resolve production issues.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the capacity to manage workloads across multiple projects, lead coordination efforts, and support engineers and project leads.
• Solid technical understanding of technology systems and engineering principles; ability to perform calculations, conduct product research, and contribute to design development with limited guidance.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit; familiarity with Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Asana, and GitHub.
• Industry certifications are preferred but not mandatory: EIT — plus, CDT — plus, PSP/CPP (Security) — plus, PE — plus.
