This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
β’ Assist in the effective execution of power generation projects from the initial development phase through construction, commissioning, and commercial operation.
β’ Create and uphold project plans, timelines, budgets, resource forecasts, and implementation strategies.
β’ Oversee daily operations with EPC contractors, engineering consultants, equipment suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
β’ Monitor project risks, issues, milestones, and action items to ensure delivery is safe, timely, and within budget.
β’ Manage first-of-a-kind (FOAK) technology pilot projects that test new power generation and control system solutions prior to commercial rollout.
β’ Facilitate the integration of complex hardware and software systems, including natural gas engines, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), medium-voltage switchgear, load banks, and grid and PV simulators.
β’ Assist engineering efforts from FEED (FEL 1β3) stages to Issued for Construction (IFC) documentation.
β’ Oversee project budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and overall financial performance.
β’ Manage construction documentation, which includes RFIs, submittals, technical deliverables, dashboards, and project status reports for leadership review.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related technical discipline.
β’ 5β8 years of progressive experience in project engineering or project management within power generation, oil & gas, or energy infrastructure sectors.
β’ Experience in managing or supporting technology pilot initiatives, R&D projects, or intricate hardware and software integrations is highly preferred.
β’ Knowledge of the complete project lifecycle, encompassing development, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
β’ Proficient understanding of EPC contracting, construction administration, RFIs, submittals, and change management protocols.
β’ Field experience in supporting construction, commissioning, and start-up activities related to OEM equipment such as turbines, reciprocating engines, and Balance of Plant (BOP) systems is a significant advantage.
β’ Proven track record of contributing to at least two full-lifecycle infrastructure projects from development to commercial operation.
β’ Strong organizational capabilities with the aptitude to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
β’ Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to cultivate effective relationships across technical and business teams.
β’ A proactive attitude, coupled with curiosity, adaptability, and a readiness to assist in evaluating and implementing emerging power technologies.
