This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Generate, edit, and release multiple AI-enhanced stories on a daily basis.
• Utilize editorial judgment to ensure that AI-generated material adheres to standards for accuracy, fairness, and journalistic integrity.
• Continuously acquire and apply new AI technologies to improve reporting efficiency.
• Respond swiftly and accurately to breaking news events.
• Monitor various sources for developing stories, trends, and topics.
• Propose original ideas, topics, and angles to cover that complement automated reporting.
• Collaborate with the US News Editor and the broader editorial team on projects and coverage strategies.
• Ensure all content complies with Newsweek’s standards for accuracy, fairness, and journalistic integrity.
• Carry out other reasonable editorial tasks as necessary.
• Relevant experience in digital news journalism, including a background in reporting, pitching and assigning stories, and proficiency in editing and publishing.
• Strong editorial judgment and comprehension of media law.
• Capability to produce and edit content under stringent deadlines.
• Excellent organization and planning skills.
• Proficiency in digital publishing tools, content management systems, and editing software.
• Familiarity with standard IT tools such as Microsoft Office and Teams.
