This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Manage the design, execution, and administration of scalable cloud infrastructure for critical systems and applications.
• Lead and guide a team of engineers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and ongoing improvement.
• Establish and oversee monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems.
• Define and implement strategies, policies, and best practices for DevOps.
• Propel initiatives aimed at enhancing system reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Oversee budget and resources for accounts managed by DevOps and related project initiatives.
• Relay project status, risks, and key metrics to stakeholders and leadership.
• A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, along with 2 years of experience in systems engineering or development is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, combined with 5 years of progressive experience in systems engineering or development, is also acceptable.
• Experience in a large enterprise systems environment to support, manage, install, and administer mission-critical systems and applications.
• Proficiency in DevOps.
• Experience in the implementation and support of highly available, high-transaction software environments.
• Ability to provide technical direction to the engineering team.
• Demonstrated track record of delivery and execution, with proven experience in design concepts, development, integration, and testing.
• Expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Github Actions and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools including Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
• Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless technologies.
• Experience with scripting languages like Python and Bash.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Mulesoft.
• Knowledge of Java, Linux/Unix administration, Kafka, SQL, MySQL, and NoSQL.
