This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Assist in the research and development of innovative quantitative risk models and methodologies.

• Collaborate with various organizational functions to address all facets of investment, market, and capital risk.

• Enhance and develop processes and models for effective measurement and monitoring of investment, market, and capital risk.

• Investigate and utilize AI to create sophisticated analytical techniques for assessing risk insights, metrics, and attribution.

• Deepen the understanding of the company's financials across different accounting and capital frameworks, product combinations, and investment strategies.

• Deliver insightful and precise analysis to support all strategic and tactical initiatives within the Enterprise, encompassing large-scale portfolio trades, M&A, reinsurance, strategic business partnerships, stress-testing, and quantitative model evaluations.

• Collaborate with Inforce Projections, Valuation, Pricing, ALM, Investments, and Finance teams on pertinent projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative business discipline such as finance, economics, or accounting.

• 2-4 years of experience in financial services is essential; experience in insurance is preferred.

• Knowledge of asset-liability matching principles.

• Familiarity with risk/return dynamics of fixed income asset classes and the influence of economic indicators like inflation and interest rates on these assets.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities with proficiency in handling large and complex datasets.

• Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements, both in reported financials and projection models.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to articulate results clearly, both verbally and in writing.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
