This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• The Accounts Receivable Cash Applications Analyst is tasked with the timely, precise, and controlled application of incoming cash receipts, daily reconciliation of bank activities, and associated general ledger entries.
• Analyze daily bank transactions and promptly apply customer payments to outstanding accounts receivable balances.
• Oversee, execute, and maintain bank balance reporting to facilitate daily cash visibility and reconciliation efforts.
• Record cash receipts and make corresponding journal entries to the general ledger while ensuring completeness, accuracy, and proper account balancing.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and cash application activities to detect discrepancies, resolve variances, and uphold data integrity across systems.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to investigate and clear intercompany payments and other unapplied or unidentified cash items.
• Engage with internal teams and external accounts payable contacts to acquire remittance information, address payment identification challenges, and assist with timely account clearing.
• Provide regular updates to management on cash application activities, aging unapplied cash, unresolved payment exceptions, and collection-related issues.
• Alert program teams about collection risks, payment delays, or client-specific concerns that could affect receivable performance.
• Assess current cash application workflows and propose process enhancements, opportunities for standardization, and automation solutions to boost efficiency and control.
• Conduct additional ad hoc analysis and operational support as needed.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s degree within the past 12 months.
• Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines and targets.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Self-motivated; eager to find sustainable solutions when standard processes are not readily available.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Advanced Excel, and Outlook skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capability to gather and analyze information and resolve issues promptly.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with banking platforms, cash application tools, and financial systems that support receivables and treasury operations.
• Proven track record of identifying root causes of process issues and recommending practical, scalable solutions.
• Experience in supporting process improvement or automation initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, or internal controls.
• Ability to work autonomously while recognizing issues that need to be escalated to management.
• Proven capability to make recommendations, proactively solve problems, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
