This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Collaborate closely with diverse teams of skilled individuals.
• Establish the comprehensive visual strategy and design principles that steer the entire creative department across all channels (digital, brand, and product).
• Supervise the advancement of our global design systems, ensuring they are scalable, accessible, and embody the highest standards of visual sophistication.
• Act as a key creative partner to C-suite executives and significant client stakeholders, utilizing design as a tool to address intricate business challenges.
• Work alongside cross-functional leaders to guarantee technical feasibility and strategic alignment from concept to launch.
• Advocate for design excellence both within the organization and externally, staying ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies (AI, spatial design, etc.) to ensure the agency/company remains at the forefront.
• Enhance design workflows and philosophies to boost output quality while preserving organizational agility and profitability.
• Provide a fresh, insightful perspective that motivates both the internal team and the client, prioritizing their needs.
• Produce strategic insights and moodboards to encourage creative innovation.
• Lead complex digital projects from initiation to completion, ensuring the team's deliverables surpass client expectations while adhering to budget and timelines.
• Set project direction, develop guidelines, and support production as necessary.
• Identify key client decision-makers and utilize exceptional interpersonal skills to cultivate and maintain these relationships, collaborating across all internal departments and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
• Contribute actively to the design discipline through mentoring, dialogue, and suggesting ideas to enhance company operations and refine processes.
• Over 5 years of experience in visual and interactive design for global brands, with at least 4 years in a dedicated leadership role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency in Figma (including components, variants, and auto layout) and familiarity with essential collaboration tools (e.g., Hubspot, Google Suite, Slack).
• Strong knowledge and experience in visual design, user-centered experience design, interaction design, and brand development, including the development and maintenance of a robust design system.
• Proven ability to provide strategic vision and creative inspiration to large, diverse teams.
• Excellent public speaking and presentation abilities with the capability to clearly communicate complex information to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable navigating complex organizations, with a focus on strategic problem-solving and process efficiency.
