This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with Client Experience Teams to identify, evaluate, and mitigate employee benefits compliance risks while assisting clients in formulating effective compliance strategies.
• Offer consultative advice to clients and internal stakeholders regarding health and welfare compliance issues, including but not limited to ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, MHPAEA, and other relevant federal regulations.
• Aid in the execution of compliance reviews and assessments, and contribute to the formulation of recommendations and corrective action plans.
• Research, analyze, and interpret legislative, regulatory, and administrative guidance that affects employer-sponsored benefit plans.
• Keep abreast of regulatory updates and emerging compliance trends, promptly communicating pertinent information to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Create client-facing communications, alerts, presentations, training materials, and other educational resources regarding regulatory changes and compliance best practices.
• Present webinars, training sessions, and presentations to clients, prospects, and internal colleagues.
• Work in conjunction with internal subject matter experts, external legal advisors, compliance vendors, and carrier partners, as necessary, to meet client needs and provide accurate guidance.
• Act as a vital partner to senior Compliance leaders by assisting with intricate client engagements, regulatory initiatives, thought leadership projects, and the ongoing enhancement of the firm's compliance solutions and resources.
• Help develop, maintain, and improve compliance tools, templates, assessments, and other resources utilized by clients and internal teams.
• Assist the Compliance team in ensuring consistent, practical, and client-centered guidance throughout the organization.
• Show a dedication to continuous learning and professional growth while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• 3–5 years of direct experience in health and welfare employee benefits compliance is required.
• Experience in providing compliance consulting to employer-sponsored group health plan clients within a brokerage, consulting, legal, carrier, or third-party administrator environment is preferred.
• Proven ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and convert them into practical, business-oriented guidance for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of federal employee benefits laws and regulations, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, MHPAEA, and other health and welfare compliance mandates.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Juris Doctor (JD), Master’s degree, or other advanced degree is preferred.
• Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the capability to convey complex compliance concepts to varied audiences.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, client-oriented setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the capacity to learn and effectively utilize firm technology platforms and compliance resources.
• Some travel may be necessary.
