This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• The Associate Director, Medical possesses a comprehensive understanding of the client’s business and exhibits critical thinking and confidence.
• Offer strategic insights to steer the development of clinically relevant educational materials and ensure the effective application of clinical data to achieve strategic brand goals.
• Engage in independent scientific content creation, including the analysis and interpretation of clinical data across various project types.
• Execute literature reviews, actively monitor the competitive landscape, and perform competitive assessments.
• Build strong relationships with clients and actively seek to contribute and collaborate during client meetings.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop impactful peer-to-peer educational content and engagement initiatives for healthcare professionals.
• Forge close partnerships with copy, art, and digital teams to design interactive and engaging programs that employ scientific storytelling techniques and innovative data visualization.
• Work together to formulate and present Intouch’s perspective and recommendations to clients.
• Play a vital role in educating team members on disease states, clinical trials, treatments, and competition.
• Assist in submissions for client medical and regulatory approval processes.
• An advanced degree (PhD, MD, or PharmD) in a medical sciences-related field is required.
• Ideally, two or more years of agency experience in medical education, medical communications, and/or healthcare professional marketing.
• A strategic thinker who knows how to effectively convey a scientific narrative in a compelling manner to distinguish client products.
• A minimum of two years of medical writing experience is required.
• Experience in creating branded or unbranded peer-to-peer educational content.
• Proficiency in extracting pertinent information from clinical sources and crafting medically accurate content.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Client-facing confidence that fosters dialogue and builds strong agency-client relationships.
• Experience managing complex projects necessitating collaboration between internal and external teams, including key opinion leaders.
• Familiarity with FDA marketing regulations, AMA editorial style, and digital practices.
