Associate Director, Medical Affairs Operations – Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Medical Affairs leadership team to define priorities, operational strategies, and strategic investments.

• Create business reviews, presentations for leadership, dashboards, operational metrics, and reporting mechanisms.

• Design and consistently enhance processes, governance frameworks, operating models, and performance indicators.

• Identify operational risks, dependencies, and resource requirements.

• Manage operational support for Medical Affairs and oversee vendor relations.

• Act as the main operational contact between Medical Affairs and essential cross-functional partners.

• Lead and synchronize cross-functional projects that promote the Medical Affairs strategy.

• Foster robust relationships throughout a complex, matrixed organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is necessary; an advanced degree is preferred.

• Over 10 years of experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare sectors.

• Extensive experience in supporting Medical Affairs, business operations, strategic planning, or similar roles.

• Proven track record of successfully leading intricate operational initiatives within a matrix environment.

• Experience in supporting senior leadership and influencing across various functions.

• Proficient in managing vendors, contracts, budgets, and external partnerships.

• Preferred experience in Field Medical, neuroscience, rare diseases, or growth-stage biotech.

• Ability to perform screen work, exhibit basic hand coordination, and maintain sustained focus.
