Associate Director – Habeas Bridge Project

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the execution and strategic advancement of the Habeas Bridge Project.

• Manage project operations, provide mentorship, coordinate systems, and engage with stakeholders.

• Create and implement strategic work plans that establish both short- and long-term objectives, success metrics, and milestones.

• Oversee the intake system, encompassing screening criteria and referral processes for emergency habeas petitions.

• Build and maintain relationships with law firms, federal public defender organizations, university clinics, and nonprofit partners.

• Track budget allocations and ensure the judicious use of both internal and external resources.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) and admission to practice law are mandatory; experience in immigration and/or federal litigation is highly preferred.

• 9 to 12 years of pertinent work experience in legal access or representation services, immigration policy, or a similar field.

• Proven experience in team management.

• Equivalent work and educational background will also be taken into account, particularly if the candidate has direct experience with the immigration legal system and has been personally affected by it.
