This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Execute internal investigations regarding issues related to export control and sanctions compliance, which includes interviewing witnesses, collecting pertinent documents, and consulting with subject matter experts throughout Pratt & Whitney and RTX.

• Investigate the relevance of U.S. and international regulations concerning controlled military and dual-use items, and assess whether a situation constitutes a breach of Global Trade regulations or policies.

• Prepare disclosures and reports for submission to both U.S. and foreign government entities, as well as internal stakeholders.

• Assist with initiatives and projects led by the Global Trade Investigations & Disclosures team, as necessary.

• Continuously promote and enhance Pratt & Whitney’s 'Speak Up' culture while maintaining integrity at all times.


⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree with over 10 years of legal experience, including a minimum of five years as a practicing attorney.

• Must maintain good standing with a state bar association and complete in-house counsel registration promptly after hiring.

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory, as only U.S. citizens are permitted access to certain essential systems or locations.

• Knowledge and practical experience with U.S. export, import, and sanctions regulations, particularly the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

• Proficiency in utilizing and understanding digital technology tools, including software platforms used in engineering and manufacturing sectors.

• Capability to effectively collaborate and communicate with all levels of management, internal clients, and Global Trade professionals across the organization.

• Proven ability to operate with minimal daily supervision and manage multiple priorities within competing timelines.

• Experience in an aerospace manufacturing setting is advantageous but not essential.
