Associate Director, Field Training – Gastroenterology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the leadership, development, and delivery of the sales franchise curriculum for sales representatives and management.

• The role will depend on the ability to create, lead, and collaborate within cross-functional teams comprising internal business units and external vendor partners with shared initiatives that influence sales objectives and other business goals.

• Spearheading the training strategy process, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of performance-oriented training curricula aimed at continuously enhancing the capabilities of the US Sales Organization.

• Cultivating the franchise training team through effective coaching and leadership to ensure success in the current trainer position and future commercial leadership roles.

• Establishing strong relationships to work in collaboration with Senior Commercial Management, cross-functional partners, Marketing, T&D, and other groups driving AbbVie learning initiatives, to enhance performance through the consistent development and delivery of effective commercial training.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.

• 8-15 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales and sales management with a proven track record in developing and leading successful sales teams is required.

• A technical degree is preferred, or a degree in business or a related field is acceptable if supplemented with relevant training and sales experiences.

• Experience in marketing and/or commercial training is preferred.

• Familiarity with instructional design systems or substantial experience in training, development of training programs, and curriculum design is also advantageous.
