This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide support for the Enterprise Information Architecture Capability.
• Collaborate with the Senior Director to expand the Enterprise Information Architecture framework, standards, and best practices.
• Assist in defining and maintaining enterprise data domains, subdomains, and canonical data models.
• Ensure that R&D data initiatives are in alignment with enterprise architecture and governance standards.
• Drive the execution of strategic data initiatives.
• Offer architectural leadership and execution support for significant programs.
• Convert business requirements into scalable and reusable data products.
• Work alongside business and IT stakeholders to design comprehensive data solutions that support analytics and operational use cases.
• Guide teams in adopting standardized data models, semantic layers, and architectural patterns.
• Ensure the consistent application of Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers within the enterprise data platform.
• Support the development and certification of trusted data products for enterprise utilization.
• Create and review data models while enforcing data modeling standards.
• Lead the enterprise Semantic Modeling standard and establish a framework for context engineering.
• Stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration are essential.
• Serve as a liaison between strategic leadership and execution teams, ensuring alignment and effective delivery of initiatives.
• Collaborate with business leaders in Clinical Operations, Safety, Regulatory, and Biometrics to understand and meet data needs.
• Work with the Integration Center of Excellence (CoE) and enterprise architecture teams to advance standardized integration patterns.
• Foster innovation and a future-ready data ecosystem.
• Support the adoption of AI/ML and Generative AI by facilitating high-quality, well-governed, and AI-ready data assets.
• Contribute to the evolution of the enterprise data ecosystem through knowledge graphs, semantic models, and advanced analytics.
• Identify opportunities to enhance data capabilities and promote continuous improvement.
• BA/BS Degree with over 8 years of experience in data architecture, data management, or analytics within the life sciences or pharmaceutical sector.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting enterprise-scale data and analytics initiatives.
• Familiarity with Clinical Development and R&D data domains.
• Strong grasp of modern data architectures, including data lakehouse, data mesh, and medallion patterns.
• Practical experience with Databricks and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Knowledge of MDM/RDM platforms (e.g., Reltio) and data governance/catalog tools (e.g., Informatica, Collibra).
• Understanding of data quality frameworks, metadata management, and lineage.
• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling techniques.
• Awareness of GxP and regulatory requirements in the life sciences industry.
