This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines that support a cloud-based data warehouse.

• Create, schedule, and oversee cloud data tasks, diagnosing any failures and optimizing for cost and performance.

• Develop idempotent load logic to facilitate reprocessing and backfills while preventing duplication of data.

• Integrate external data sources and APIs, ensuring authentication, error handling, and retry mechanisms are in place.

• Set up data quality checks, validation processes, and alert systems to identify pipeline issues promptly.

• Manage and deploy pipelines utilizing infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD practices.

• Assist with data migrations and service updates while minimizing downtime.

• Provide clean, analytics-ready datasets for data scientists and analysts.


⛳️ Requirements

• 1-5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or a similar software/data role.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Proficient programming skills in Python and SQL.

• Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and experience in building data pipelines.

• Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform, with a preference for AWS.

• Knowledge of REST APIs and the integration of external data sources.

• Strong focus on data quality and reliability.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and business audiences.
