This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as a Compliance business partner, supporting activities in Commercial and Medical Affairs such as speaker programs, advisory boards, exhibits, and educational grants by providing strategic and daily advisory assistance.
• Deliver timely, solutions-focused guidance to Commercial and Medical stakeholders regarding intricate compliance issues.
• Lead the development and implementation of the compliance strategy for Commercial and Medical Affairs, aligning with senior Compliance leadership.
• Proactively identify potential internal and external business challenges and regulatory risks, crafting and recommending practical, risk-based solutions.
• Establish and maintain robust, trusted relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, fostering a proactive, partnership-oriented approach to Compliance.
• Serve as a recognized subject matter expert, offering guidance throughout the organization and influencing decision-making processes.
• Evaluate and escalate high-risk, innovative, or complex compliance issues to senior Compliance leadership with clear recommendations when necessary.
• Actively engage with and influence cross-functional teams and business discussions to ensure that Compliance perspectives are incorporated into decision-making.
• Enhance stakeholder engagement and visibility within Commercial and Medical Affairs through active partnerships, including field engagement, meetings, and business interactions.
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, life sciences, healthcare, information systems, or a related field with 12+ years of relevant experience in the life sciences industry (pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotech) OR a Master’s Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience in the life sciences industry (pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotech).
• Background in life sciences: pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotech.
• Proven ability to cultivate strong, professional relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating flexibility, a commitment to teamwork, and a readiness to adapt assignments according to the Company's needs.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Sunshine Act, and other healthcare laws and regulations.
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency, high motivation, and the ability to take initiative, follow through, and complete projects professionally and efficiently.
• Strong presentation skills, including the ability to create and deliver presentations to various audience sizes at all organizational levels.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• A keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Exceptional collaborative, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.
• Outstanding written communication skills, including advanced documentation practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and sound judgment.
• Capable of producing high-quality work with minimal oversight from management.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
