Associate Attorney – General Liability, Insurance Defense

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee a varied caseload from initiation to conclusion, offering strategic legal advice and representation in court, arbitrations, and depositions.

• Conduct file reviews and perform legal analysis on claims and causes of action.

• Engage in extensive legal research and draft significant briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate documents.

• Frequently represent clients in court, during arbitrations, and in depositions.

• Prepare and respond to discovery requests.

• Coordinate with expert witnesses and facilitate collaboration.

• Prepare for trials and attend proceedings.

• Work closely with partners, clients, and stakeholders to provide strategic and practical legal counsel.

• Manage deadlines and assignments with a strong sense of ownership and independence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a law school accredited by the ABA.

• Valid license to practice law in the state listed (required); additional bar admissions are advantageous.

• At least 2 years of experience within the practice group.

• Exceptional skills in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy.

• Familiarity with administrative proceedings, depositions, and mediations.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

• Professional demeanor with strong skills in client relations and communication.

• Must exhibit responsiveness and organization, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
