Associate Architect – Data Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead the structural development of a groundbreaking data layer specifically designed for Agentic AI.

• Coordinate hybrid-database environments across Snowflake and Kinetica, serving as the foundation for client technical strategy and governance.

• Create a comprehensive blueprint for a modern enterprise data architecture that covers all layers, including Ingestion Management, Lakehouse storage, Transformation & Orchestration, Semantic & Context, Serving & Consumption, Governance, and the seamless integration of structured, unstructured, and graph data for AI agent consumption.

• Establish multi-tenant schemas and Knowledge Graph ontologies that enable LLM agents to execute complex reasoning and cross-domain data retrieval.

• Supervise the health, security, and performance optimization of data clusters (BigQuery/Snowflake/Kinetica), ensuring 99.9% availability for mission-critical AI workflows.

• Act as the "Face of Engineering" for clients by leading discovery workshops, managing technical expectations, and aligning the architectural roadmap with their business goals.

• Set benchmarks for data latency and retrieval accuracy, ensuring the data layer meets the real-time demands of agentic execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Data Engineering/Architecture.

• Demonstrated expertise in architecting cloud lakehouses (BigQuery / Cosmos / Snowflake / Kinetica) and developing Vector DBs (Milvus / Qdrant / Cosmos / Azure AI Search).

• Proficient in designing Property Graphs or RDF schemas that map enterprise entities to facilitate complex clinical traversal queries.

• Extensive knowledge of data orchestration patterns (Change Data Capture, Streaming, and Batch) to maintain data freshness.

• Strong DBA capabilities, including partitioning strategies, indexing, sharding, vacuuming, and resource scaling in cloud-native environments.

• Practical experience with vector stores, knowledge graphs, and semantic layer design to support intelligent agent workflows.

• Familiarity with tools like Cube or dbt Semantic Layer to establish a consistent "Language" for AI agents to query.

• Understanding of RBAC and Row-Level Security (RLS) within an AI context to ensure that agents only access authorized information.

• Experience in designing API-first data layers that agents can utilize as "Tools" (e.g., function calling).
