Assistant Superintendent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Direct and manage onsite personnel and subcontractors during the planning, coordination, and execution of work.

• Efficiently plan, schedule, supervise, and oversee onsite project activities.

• Have a comprehensive understanding of all project plans, specifications, owner contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings, submittals, and other relevant project documents.

• Proactively schedule and coordinate all subcontractors to ensure project completion aligns with the established schedule.

• Monitor subcontractors’ performance to ensure quality and competency in their work.

• Manage project setup, which includes securing trailers, equipment, necessary signage and postings, personal protective equipment (PPE), and other essential items.

• Prepare precise daily reports (including weather conditions and subcontractor workforce reports), safety logs, equipment rentals, and cost coding.

• Steer the project towards completion to guarantee an effective close-out, while maintaining and reviewing the punch list process to ensure all items are addressed and executed promptly.

• Adhere to all safety policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

• Relevant experience in successfully managing construction projects for a general contractor from inception to completion.

• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be taken into account.

• Experience with design-build methodologies on pertinent project types.
