Assistant Safety Manager – Traveling, Multi-State Coverage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, interpret, and comprehend Weld Map Isometric drawings utilizing computer software applications.

• Input welding and inspection data into the tracking system.

• Support the planning and execution of pressure testing.

• Compile documentation packages for projects.

• Conduct and document inspections based on drawings, specifications, and procedures to ensure compliance.

• Evaluate welders and carry out weld inspections in accordance with various codes.

• Adhere to Project Quality Assurance Plans.

• Comply with Inspection and Test Plans (I&TPs).

• Assist the Site Quality Manager with diverse daily tasks as assigned.

• Uphold commitment to Mullins' core values and safety protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Knowledge and experience gained from working within a Quality Management Program.

• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience as a Quality Inspector and/or Quality Technician.

• Must possess a current AWS CWI, ASNT VT II, and/or API 510/570 certifications.

• In-depth understanding of NDT methods (UT, MT, PT, RT).

• Familiarity with ASTM standards and materials.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and construction project management software (Procore preferred).

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and communicate well with colleagues.

• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.

• High level of organizational skills.

• Extensive expertise in reading and interpreting drawings.

• Quick learner and self-motivated with a desire to grow and develop.

• Willingness to travel and relocate as necessary.

• Experience adhering to customer specifications.

• Familiarity with verifying mechanical equipment alignment.

• Comprehensive knowledge of codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ACI, AISC, NACE).

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be capable and willing to navigate stairs and ladders while working on scaffolding and in trenches.

• Must be comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for prolonged periods, and walking on uneven terrain for extended durations.

• Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurability, and the ability to pass an MVR background check.
