Assistant Instructional Aide, Humanities

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Assist in the grading and management of Universal Learner Courses (ULC).

• Aid faculty members with learner assessments in online courses.

• Deliver comprehensive feedback and evaluate learner assignments and in-class activities promptly.

• Oversee and grade assignments.

• Support learners in overcoming obstacles within the Universal Learner Course.

• Address learner issues via course Discussion boards.

• Monitor and actively participate in discussion activities.

• Conduct live learner sessions as assigned by faculty.

• Engage in initial training and calibration sessions.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Learning Enterprise team.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate's degree and one (1) year of relevant experience in the field; or a suitable combination of experience and/or training.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

• Must undergo mandatory fingerprinting.

• Strong understanding of pertinent course concepts.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to grade in one or more specified humanities areas.

• Ability to provide detailed feedback and assess assignments promptly.

• Proactive work ethic with minimal supervision.

• Competence to thrive in dynamic or challenging environments.

• Knowledge and/or coursework in a related field.

• Completion of ENG 101, ENG 102, ENG 105, or an equivalent course is required.

• Experience with Canvas or a similar Learning Management System is preferred.

• Previous teaching, tutoring, or student-success experience is advantageous.

• Commitment to supporting students and promoting educational equity.

• Must reside in Arizona; special permissions are needed for out-of-state employment, which may not be granted.
