This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.
• Interpret domestic and international sanctions (UAE, US, UK, EU, UN, etc.) and maintain a thorough understanding of sanctions that impact the bank and/or its branches or subsidiaries.
• Conduct investigations of complex and high-risk sanctions alerts in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies and procedures.
• Ensure complete adherence to the Group Sanctions Policy, including but not limited to related sanctions guidance and operational procedures.
• Assist the Compliance Manager in identifying trends and themes related to sanctions risk and enhancing sanctions risk management capabilities.
• Collaborate with business units to resolve alerts and client information.
• Manage sanctions referrals in accordance with the bank's policy, ensuring compliance with applicable sanctions policies, standards, and guidance.
• Support the Compliance Manager in fulfilling responsibilities related to adherence to all relevant laws, rules, regulations, and Group policies regarding sanctions.
• Provide guidance, support, and training to the Compliance Operations alert review team and business colleagues on the implementation of sanctions policies and procedures.
• Deliver effective support and maintain metrics in line with internal procedures; prepare monthly and ad-hoc management reports.
• Identify and escalate issues that require attention or enhancement and suggest changes and improvements in accordance with industry standards and applicable regulations.
• Ensure proper record-keeping. All unit records must be stored confidentially and securely, adhering to record retention policies and SOP guidelines.
• Foster effective working relationships with Business, Operations, and other Compliance functions.
• Assist in Compliance projects as needed, including the effective deployment of system and procedural changes as required.
• Over 4 years of banking experience, including 2 years in compliance.
• Strong understanding of the Bank’s Compliance, Sanctions, AML, and KYC/CDD policies and procedures.
• Adequate knowledge of various sanction programs, such as OFAC, UN, UK, EU, and UAE Target Financial Sanctions.
• Compliance risk professional with experience in one or more risk compliance roles, including relevant sanctions experience.
• Familiarity with sanctions regulations and guidance.
• Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal and influencing abilities.
• Effective team player with a collaborative mindset.
• Professional qualification (such as CAMS or CGSS) is preferred.

• Compliance risk professional with experience in one or more risk compliance roles, including relevant sanctions experience.
• Familiarity with sanctions regulations and guidance.
• Lateral thinker with the ability to interpret and resolve complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal and influencing abilities.
• Effective team player with a collaborative mindset.
• Professional qualification (such as CAMS or CGSS) is preferred.
