Assessment Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Create security assessment plans (SAPs)

• Conduct interviews with essential stakeholders and technical staff

• Execute technical assessments in collaboration with security engineers

• Document meeting minutes and manage work papers

• Generate security assessment reports (SARs)

• Maintain a uniform writing style and approach for documenting assessment findings

• Collaborate with team members to enhance customer satisfaction and achieve project objectives

• Ensure timely delivery of quality products and services within budgeted hours

• Build and sustain positive collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders

• Engage in ongoing professional development and pursue industry-specific certifications

• Enhance interviewing techniques and improve efficiencies in gathering necessary information

• Prepare deliverables and perform peer reviews of team members' outputs

• Conduct project outbriefs with clients regarding compliance activity results

• Manage project priorities, tasks, and allocated hours to meet delivery utilization goals

• Travel to client sites and provide professional services as needed

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience

• Minimum of 3 years in professional services

• At least 4 years of assessment experience utilizing NIST SP 800-53 in cloud settings

• Proficient in the Microsoft 365 product suite

• Quick to adopt new technologies and concepts

• Capable of managing multiple priorities at once

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to cultivate and maintain robust relationships with team members and clients

• Comfortable working in fast-paced team environments

• One or more cybersecurity certifications from the following: CCNA Security, CCNA Cyber Ops, CySA+, GCIH, GSNA, GCIA, CISA, CISSP or Associate, CSSLP, CISSO, CFR, CASP+, Cloud+, GICSP, or SCYBER

• Preferred: skill in validating automated evidence pipelines, including API querying and log interpretation

• Preferred: basic scripting capabilities and understanding of JSON

• Preferred: foundational knowledge of Terraform

• Preferred: advanced technical certifications like AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Engineer, or Microsoft Solutions Architect
