This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Spearhead the expansion of our business by managing and optimizing sales operations in your assigned region.
• Oversee the complete sales cycle while fostering and sustaining robust customer relationships.
• Provide customized solutions that surpass sales goals and establish TOMRA Food as a frontrunner in the food processing sector.
• Take charge of the sales territory, ensuring the attainment of ambitious sales objectives and high customer satisfaction.
• Handle the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals and transitioning to the project delivery teams.
• Initiate daily sales activities to achieve challenging targets and cultivate a sustainable pipeline, while ensuring precise and timely CRM updates and dependable sales forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Function within a consultative sales approach by nurturing strong customer connections, comprehending business requirements, and aligning advanced technology solutions to deliver value, financial advantages, and differentiation.
• Represent the customer's voice by grasping market and customer demands, providing customized value, and identifying or escalating opportunities for future growth.
• Offer detailed insights into the local market (trends, competitors, etc.) to inform our strategic planning.
• Strategize and collaborate with colleagues on trade show and congress selection, social media content, speaking opportunities, and media/PR initiatives to bolster branding and growth goals.
• Ensure customer satisfaction within the designated territory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering; a degree in Business, Economics, or Agricultural Engineering is also acceptable.
• 5-10 years of experience in selling large capital industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with sales software and CRM systems.
• Preferred experience in selling to the food processing industry, with a strong regional network across key food categories.
• In-depth understanding of industry and market trends, with proven experience in managing extensive sales territories and key accounts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, complemented by strong interpersonal abilities.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Capability to work in an open office environment as well as in industrial customer locations.
• Willingness to work in food processing plants, farms, cold storage facilities, and outdoors in varying temperatures.
• Ability to travel domestically approximately 50% of the time and occasionally internationally.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport.
