This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Oversee regional initiatives for the sale of designated products within the specified geographic area or customer segment.
• Achieve goals for sales volume, market reach, profitability, and cost of sales.
• Establish and achieve budgeted sales and profit targets for the industrial division in the assigned territory.
• Gain knowledge of and manage markets and clients within the region.
• Coordinate internal activities to meet forecasts.
• Manage sales channels for OEMs and distributors.
• Represent and promote Stabilus in a professional and responsible manner.
• Optimize sales and profit margins with all accounts.
• Execute sales and marketing initiatives within the territory.
• Build new accounts and nurture existing relationships.
• Coordinate technical and customer satisfaction initiatives.
• Contribute to market, product, and pricing strategies.
• Offer input for customer quotes and deviation requests.
• Maintain up-to-date sales support documents and reports.
• Actively collaborate with distributors to meet customer needs.
• Resolve issues with customers and the organization.
• Analyze and interpret competitive requirements and actions.
• Deliver presentations to customers.
• Conduct joint sales and training sessions with distributors.
• Keep daily and weekly updates for contact management.
• Provide input for the quarterly sales forecast.
• Prepare reports for key accounts and monthly activities.
• Maintain weekly schedules and expense reports.
• Conduct customer visits throughout the West Coast of the United States and into Canada.
• Work under the guidance of the Director of Sales, focusing on goals and objectives.
• A 4-year degree is required; a degree in Business or Technical fields is preferred.
• 5-8 years of sales or sales management experience in a related industry.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in a relevant field.
• At least 4 years of experience in middle management and supervisory roles.
• Proficient in contact management software.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with CRM systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Intermediate supervisory skills.
• Willingness to travel 50% to 60% of the time.
• Capability to occasionally lift products and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to work in a regional or home office environment while conducting customer visits.
• Capacity to make independent, critical sales decisions.
• Experience managing sales projects valued between $7M and $15M.
• Ability to handle sensitive information regarding proprietary products, costs, budgets, processes, and strategic planning.
• Annual sales bonus contingent upon meeting targets.
• Company-provided vehicle.
