• Direct and coordinate the branch operations activities to ensure optimal utilization of equipment, warehouse processes, and personnel.
• Establish, monitor, and uphold company performance metrics for order fill rate, on-time delivery, equipment utilization, and inventory accuracy.
• Conduct audits to track metrics that fall short of company standards or requirements.
• Leverage metrics and audits to quantify operational performance and devise strategies and tactics that promote operational excellence across locations.
• Facilitate regularly scheduled operations meetings with operations and location managers.
• Address operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
• Assist in the preparation of store budgets and ensure compliance of each department with the established budget.
• Review production reports, departmental expenses, labor costs, and other documents related to store operations.
• Assess the productivity of departments within the branch (e.g., counter, warehouse, and logistics/drivers).
• Concentrate on enhancing warehouse and delivery efficiencies to ensure timely delivery that meets customer expectations.
• Ensure vehicles receive required servicing and that vehicle condition reports are completed and addressed.
• Evaluate product flow for optimal space and labor utilization.
• Verify that inventory levels and cycle counting processes are consistently maintained.
• Monitor operational expenses within the departments under management.
• Enforce company policies and procedures regarding customers, vendors, and employees.
• Review personnel assignments with branch managers and provide recommendations based on service needs and sales strategies.
• Ensure the branch holds regular meetings for counter, drivers, and warehouse staff, and attend all required meetings.
• Collaborate with sales management to maintain effective communication and training.
• Engage with customers as necessary to assist in resolving issues and follow up on customer complaints to achieve mutually satisfactory outcomes.
• Responsible for supervising a team of over 12 associates (both direct and indirect), including making hiring and termination decisions, setting goals, communicating expectations, delivering performance feedback, and overseeing budget accountability.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 4-6 years of operational experience, with substantial experience in a fast-paced distribution environment required.
• In-depth knowledge of general operations management and financial principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with proven presentation abilities, are essential.
• Proficient in MS programs, computer-based inventory control systems (WMS preferred), etc.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
• Adhere to the Company’s commitment to workplace safety.
