This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Accountable for executing AFSP’s fundraising and program initiatives within the designated market area.
• Organize AFSP Out of the Darkness Community Walks and other sanctioned fundraising activities in the assigned region.
• Implement approved programs within the specified market area, including survivor initiatives, educational programs, and awareness campaigns.
• Responsible for the development and support of the Chapter board and committees within the region.
• Collaborate with Chapter Boards to create a business plan and budget for the assigned market.
• Oversee volunteer management, which includes recruiting, training, assigning, and acknowledging volunteers in the designated area.
• Build and sustain productive relationships with community leaders and organizations to advocate for AFSP’s message, enhance support for our mission, and boost participation in AFSP events and programs.
• Coordinate with media to promote AFSP events and mission, elevating public awareness and achieving fundraising objectives.
• Manage fiscal responsibilities, including vendor relationships, cash handling, expense oversight, and collaboration with the National Office on accounts payable and receivable.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in nonprofit program delivery and peer-to-peer special event fundraising.
• Proficient in using general office technology, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred).
• Over 3 years of experience in nonprofit program delivery and peer-to-peer special event fundraising (Preferred).
• Excellent public speaking abilities.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Capability to work a full-time schedule with consistent attendance at the workplace.
• Willingness to travel as needed to attend work meetings or events.
• 22 PTO days (including vacation, sick, wellness, and personal days) in your first year of employment, with an additional 5 days in the second year.
