Architect III – Cloud, DevOps, SRE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with internal CareSource IT teams to design and execute essential Cloud, DevOps, and SRE objectives for Digital Solutions delivery teams.

• Create and implement strategies to scale the Digital platform on a national level.

• Foster partnerships with Cloud, DevOps, Security, and Site Reliability Engineering organizations.

• Work together with business, product, and IT leaders and teams.

• Advocate for enterprise architecture principles, standards, methodologies, and strategic direction.

• Strengthen cloud-service implementations utilized by Digital projects.

• Develop Terraform-based cloud infrastructure templates for common service use cases.

• Design and execute infrastructure and tooling/processes that facilitate blue/green deployments.

• Collaborate with the internal DevOps team to establish standards and deliver enhancements in pipeline and process automation.

• Define and implement automated rollback strategies.

• Integrate Agile product tools with VCS systems to automate release documentation.

• Lead SRE alignment, strategy, and execution for Digital products based on contextual needs.

• Enhance the reliability, scalability, and performance of the Digital Platform and present metrics to leadership.

• Implement alerting, monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning alongside SRE teams.

• Conduct technical evaluations and research and development in emerging technologies.

• Contribute code to initiate projects and support development teams when technical guidance is required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required.

• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Application Development, Site Reliability Engineering, Systems/Automation Engineering, or Cloud Application Architecture.

• Proficiency in designing and implementing technically diverse application and infrastructure architectures in large-scale enterprise environments.

• Preferred experience in Healthcare IT.

• Familiarity with cloud-based application design, architecture, and development.

• Experience with event/message streaming technologies.

• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools and practices.

• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases.

• Proficiency in frontend and backend development practices and patterns.

• Experience with infrastructure as code and DevOps methodologies.

• Understanding of IT service management principles.

• Knowledge of best practices for IT controls in regulated/sensitive environments.

• Experience with test automation workflows and tools.

• Capability to prioritize and execute tasks both independently and collaboratively.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, critical thinking, presentation, and facilitation skills.

• Ability to establish working relationships with stakeholders across various levels.

• Capability to contribute code and collaborate with development teams.

• Experience with Terraform Enterprise, GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD platforms, Azure Cloud, Dynatrace, Splunk, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Architecture-level certification from a major cloud provider; Azure Cloud certifications are preferred.
