Architect, Enterprise AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +12 more states.

📋 Description

• Establish and uphold the enterprise AI architecture strategy, standards, and reference architectures to facilitate the scalable adoption of AI, generative AI, and agentic AI.

• Create enterprise AI architecture patterns for generative AI, agentic workflows, RAG, model orchestration, and integration of enterprise AI services.

• Develop and enforce AI governance frameworks and architectural guidelines to ensure responsible, secure, and compliant use of AI technologies.

• Assess and propose AI platforms, large language model providers, orchestration frameworks, and related tools.

• Specify AI integration patterns that connect AI capabilities with enterprise systems, APIs, data platforms, and cloud services.

• Define and advocate for Agentic AI patterns that facilitate workflow orchestration, tool integration, memory/context management, and human-in-the-loop functionalities.

• Guarantee Responsible AI and adherence to regulatory compliance, encompassing data privacy, auditability, model transparency, and ethical AI practices.

• Establish standards for AI operations, including model lifecycle management, monitoring, observability, deployment pipelines, and operational controls.

• Create AI security and cost-management protocols to ensure secure model access, data protection, usage controls, and infrastructure optimization.

• Collaborate with teams across Enterprise Architecture, Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, and Product departments to steer AI adoption and solution architecture decisions.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, is required.

• Over 10 years of experience in software development or architecture, with at least 5 years dedicated to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies, is required.

• Proven experience in defining enterprise AI architecture patterns, model integration, orchestration frameworks, and designing AI-enabled applications within cloud or distributed systems.

• Background in establishing or supporting AI governance frameworks, responsible AI practices, regulatory compliance, model lifecycle oversight, and enterprise guardrails.

• Experience in defining AI platform strategies, including the evaluation and selection of enterprise AI platforms, large language models, and supporting tools.

• Expertise in designing AI integration patterns that connect AI capabilities with enterprise systems, APIs, data platforms, and cloud services.

• Experience in implementing or guiding MLOps/LLMOps practices, including model deployment, monitoring, lifecycle management, and operational governance.

• Knowledge of addressing AI security, privacy, and cost management, including secure model access and protection of sensitive data.

• Proven track record of collaborating with enterprise architecture, engineering, data, and product teams.

• Experience conducting interviews with end-users to gather insights on functionality, interfaces, issues, and usability concerns.

• Advanced development skills in multiple modern programming languages, including C#, React, and Python.

• Active participation in, adherence to, and support of compliance program objectives.

• Ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with colleagues.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional certification is preferred.

• AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty certification is preferred.

• Responsible AI / AI Governance certification is preferred.

• Industry-recognized Certified AI Professional or equivalent AI/ML certification is preferred.

• Familiarity with PBM systems, claims adjudication processes, and payer/provider/pharmacy data exchange patterns is preferred.
