Arborist Trainee

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vermont.

📋 Description

• Manually clear vegetation from designated work areas

• Utilize pesticides as required

• Operate forestry machinery safely, including skidders, mowers, chainsaws, and ATVs

• Conduct line clearance, pruning, and tree removals

• Acquire skills in felling, climbing, rigging, equipment operation, and vegetation management

• Learn to safely operate bucket trucks and additional equipment

• Engage in paid, hands-on training and educational courses on the job

⛳️ Requirements

• No prior experience in the tree industry is required

• Must be capable of working 45 hours per week

• Minimum age of 18 years

• High School Diploma, GED, or an equivalent qualification

• A current and valid driver’s license with dependable transportation

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

• Physical capability to traverse uneven terrain and lift 75 lbs.

• Willingness to work at different heights

• Eagerness and capability to learn safe operation of a bucket truck and other equipment

• Willingness to obtain and maintain a CDL A or B license

• Willingness to secure and uphold necessary licenses and certifications for the role

• Ability to successfully complete a post-offer physical examination and drug screening

• Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record check
