Arborist Trainee

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.

📋 Description

• Conduct manual removal of vegetation from designated work areas

• Apply pesticides as required

• Operate forestry equipment safely, including skidders, mowers, chainsaws, and ATVs

• Perform line clearance, pruning, and tree removals

• Acquire skills in felling, climbing, rigging, equipment operation, and vegetation management

• Learn to operate bucket trucks and associated equipment safely

• Work outdoors under varying weather conditions and at different heights

• Participate in paid hands-on on-the-job training and educational courses

⛳️ Requirements

• No prior experience in the tree industry is required

• Must be available to work 45 hours each week

• Minimum age of 18 years

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is necessary

• Must possess a current and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

• Physically capable of navigating uneven terrain and lifting up to 75 lbs.

• Willingness to work at various heights

• Eagerness to learn bucket truck and equipment operation

• Willingness to obtain and maintain a CDL A or B license

• Commitment to acquiring and maintaining necessary licenses and certifications for the position

• Successful completion of post-offer physical, drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle check
