This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Update prescription orders under the guidance of the Pharmacy Supervisor (FL), adhering to pharmacy procedures and protocols.
• Execute routine professional pharmacy tasks.
• Uphold HIPAA confidentiality standards.
• Adhere to and assist in enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Respond to the arbiter email inbox accurately and in a timely manner.
• Manage orders pertaining to failed claims and high co-pay queues.
• Verify insurance details for accurate adjudication.
• Review patient history for refill-too-soon concerns, dosage adjustments, and duplicate prescriptions.
• Initiate prior authorizations accurately and promptly.
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician certification in the State of Florida.
• Minimum of one year experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Understanding of health insurance plans.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks or interruptions simultaneously.
• Effective, patient, and courteous communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with pharmacists, other departments, customers, and management.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet daily deadlines.
• Competence in performing repetitive tasks accurately.
• Capacity to work extended periods while sitting and standing in front of a computer.
• Adequate hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate standard office and computer/phone equipment.
