Applied Research Scientist – Machine Visibility

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Develop the Research Infrastructure

• Organize, clean, and structure Prerender's existing data to facilitate systematic analysis.

• Create and implement new data collection methods to address questions that the current data cannot answer.

• Conduct and Publish Original Research

• Design and carry out studies utilizing Prerender's data, web-scale datasets, and primary research techniques.

• Manage the entire research lifecycle: from question formulation and methodology to analysis and findings.

• Inform Business Decisions

• Provide data insights that influence what Prerender develops, how we market, and where we allocate resources.

⛳️ Requirements

• Published original research — whether in academia or industry, you have progressed a question from hypothesis to methodology and arrived at defensible conclusions.

• Hands-on experience with large-scale data analysis — you have independently queried production data, rather than solely relying on dashboards. Proficient in SQL and Python.

• Strong experimental design skills — including hypothesis formulation, variable isolation, statistical validation, and outcome measurement.

• Experience in building data infrastructure — not just analyzing pre-existing datasets.

• Familiarity with AI tools — you are already incorporating them into your research workflows.
