This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Create original and challenging multiple-choice mathematics questions for the purpose of AI benchmarking.
• Assess pre-existing questions for accuracy, clarity, rigor, completeness, and solvability.
• Revise questions and answer options, documenting any significant mathematical changes.
• Produce assessment materials in the areas of signal processing and applied analysis.
• Design problems related to financial mathematics, actuarial science, mathematical economics, and optimization.
• Generate rigorous mathematical programming and combinatorial optimization challenges.
• Develop assessment content focused on biological, ecological, geomathematical, and climate modeling themes.
• Provide academic references when necessary and craft structured solution explanations.
• Evaluate question difficulty levels categorized as Medium, Hard, and Expert.
• Aid in maintaining a consistent standard of mathematical and academic quality across benchmark materials.
• Contribute to the creation of gold-standard evaluation tools for assessing advanced AI capabilities.
• PhD or current doctoral candidate in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or a closely related quantitative field.
• Strong grasp of graduate-level mathematics and formal mathematical reasoning.
• Expertise in one or more pertinent areas, such as signal processing, financial mathematics, actuarial science, mathematical economics, mathematical modeling, mathematical programming, combinatorial optimization, geomathematics, or climate modeling.
• Proven ability to construct and validate rigorous mathematical arguments and quantitative solutions.
• Excellent written English skills and the ability to convey complex mathematical concepts in a clear and precise manner.
• Academic research publications are highly regarded.
• Experience in writing for mathematical competitions, developing examinations, or designing advanced problems is a plus.
• University-level teaching or experience in academic assessment is highly valued.
• Strong attention to detail in mathematical precision, logical consistency, and problem solvability.
• Expected to be available for at least 10 hours per week.
• Work must be conducted without using confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, institution, or other third party.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support is unavailable for this position.
• Flexible scheduling based on project needs.

• Part-time independent contractor engagement.
