Applied AI Engineer – OCR, Document Classification, Extraction, RAG/LLM, Evaluation/QA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Types of documents and extraction schemas (top 10) along with their validations

• OCR and extraction pipeline addressing edge cases such as poor scans, tables, and stamps

• RAG/LLM: generating summaries, drafting client emails, and identifying action items

• Confidence and checks: establishing thresholds, conducting rule/LLM assessments, and implementing human-in-the-loop gates

• Quality assurance and evaluation: creating a golden set, defining metrics (precision/recall), and performing prompt and model regression tests

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with LLM/RAG in a production environment (beyond just demonstrations)

• Expertise in document-centric processes (OCR, extraction, classification) or closely related experience

• Engineering skills: focusing on version control, reproducibility, testing, and monitoring

• Evaluation-oriented mindset: measuring quality and preventing regression
