Applied AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance the core product features of MAIA.

• Concentrate on backend and AI systems, including RAG pipelines and LLM integrations.

• Design, implement, and deploy features from the discovery phase to production rollout.

• Create and refine evaluation strategies for LLM features.

• Explore new technologies and enhance the team's knowledge base.

• Work closely with Product, DevOps, and customer-facing teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong backend engineering expertise in TypeScript or another strongly typed programming language.

• Demonstrated experience in building and deploying production REST APIs.

• Proficient SQL skills, preferably with PostgreSQL in a production environment.

• Practical experience in developing or operating LLM applications.

• Commercial experience with at least one relevant LLM framework.

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting production systems with observability tools.

• Basic understanding of cloud and DevOps principles.

• Capability to adhere to secure development best practices.

• Fluent in English; proficiency in German is an advantage.
